It's been a busy week.

Thursday was RE semifinals judging.

Friday was YSC poster judging.

That's our project poster up on top. Obviously, we didn't get into the top 10%, and they told us, after a 3 hour wait, that we would receive our results via email to schools on Tuesday. NEXT Tuesday (as in, after the YSC on the 13th itself O.O). Curious project title they have there...




Today was the belated and postponed Investiture section dinner. After RWinds ended at 6 PM, the Sec 4s split to go to Bugis (brass) and City Hall (woodwinds/percs). Thankfully, the clarinet and percussion sections had the foresight to book a space in the crowded restaurant called newyorknewyork ahead of us; poor fluboes had to wait in the queue for a large enough table to empty.

As you know (or may not know), being Sec 4s, we get treated in this (belated) Investiture dinner, so, being Sec 4s, we attempted to order as much as we could got free dinners =D. Had a Cheesy Chicken and a Ice-Cream-on-Waffle for about $22 bucks (thanks once again guys!).

Gave out presents, got presents XD. Sorry for burning holes in your pockets, but I really appreciate it (to be fair my pocket got burnt too by presents =D).

LOL I got a fridge magnet with eyes STAIRing at me, a fat cat plushie (is this supposed to mean something -_-), some yummy biscuits, and the capper: that pink name tag with...

And it fell on me, being the only senior (unless you count our AWOL) to give out the traditional stuffed toys lol. Haha I tried to find things with some meaning to each of you but I didn't manage to (except for the duck perhaps).

At long last, I managed to take the fullest clarinet section photo ever taken =DDD! (oops Wenjie and Bumsoo are not there though...)

Went LANning after that, as per band tradition. The band joined back up (brass + woodwinds) but then split again into CS and DotA. I went for DotA hehe. Sorry, no screenshots currently available LOL.

If there were, you'd be surprised at how well I can feed as Bone Fletcher. Which is, practically impossible. Not sure how I managed it lol (0 - 3).

Anyway, so this unofficially concludes Investiture. Keep your eyes on the bottom of this post for something which I'm just too sleepy to do now (and something which Benni beat me to rawr =D).

Qingyou - THANK YOU! oh well actually I don't know you as well as I should, but thanks anyway for sticking with this band even though many of your peers didn't, I really appreciate it!

Ben Ni - THANK YOU! there are all too few idealists in this world of ours, so its been refreshing to know you. Thanks for your quiet passion which I have hoped to follow, and your ever-consistent and honest thoughts!

Eric - THANK YOU! for your dedication in taking care of the instruments, for the fun that I get when we play DotA/chat/kope Jerald's maths, for enlightening me when I'm blur or something!

Yingzhe - THANK YOU! okay this photo is not supposed to be me but him, and I couldn't find a better one. Thanks for your unique views on certain... issues... and your quiet but underestimated devotion to the band!

James - THANK YOU! once again, I don't know you as well as I should, and as with all foreign scholars (no offense) I really think that your continuous commitment to the band is not easy, but you have it!

Zhaoyue (David) - THANK YOU! for your, erm, highly unique and outstandingly personality which has added a lot of fun/violence to our batch, for your overpowering *censored* which has withstood our constant joking!

Bryan - THANK YOU! for making my term as a UD head so much more... meaningful -_-, for your enthusiasm whether be it doing pushups or in music or just helping me when I slack off (think of Sec 2 RE project)!

Fayang - THANK YOU! for being our flute SL, for sticking with us throughout the two years that I've known you, for your commitment!

Tianyi - THANK YOU! I don't really know you that well either, but you've never let us down (lol) and have stuck with us!

Russell - THANK YOU! for sharing woes and experiences with me in the bus rides home, whether it be about DotA, the last concert practice, or just school, for never ostracizing me even when I'm totally blur about something, for encouraging me to come to RWinds (wait this was once)!

Samuel - THANK YOU! for just being our committed DBM, for opening the band room nearly every day, for showing off all the time lol, for being so fun to be around!

Lucas - THANK YOU! for having such an interesting and fluid personality, for being crazy, for being serious, for putting your vocal skills to good use, for daoing me making concert fun!

Leonard - THANK YOU! for having the same birthday as me (lol), for your quiet devotion even from Malaysia (LOL), for talking to me about stuff sometimes!

Austin - THANK YOU! for being our beloved stone (you rock! lol), for trying to share your musicality and sensitivity (direct quote from interviews) with the rest of us, for your random sense of humour (on and off)!
