26 October 2009 ~ three hundred and twenty seven

I stopped doing a blow-by-blow analysis of each and every one of my tests a long while ago, so in this case I'll just give a couple of comments.

So, Promo results.

P is for Physics. I can't honestly say I'm completely satisfied, because if I want to take H3 Physics (which I still do!) I should be trying to get an A. And there were plenty of careless mistakes which I could have avoided. Still, a B is decent, need to put in more practice the next time. Only thing now is whether that's good enough for a H3...? [Promo 62.5%, CT 58%, Overall B]

C is for Chemistry. I totally expected a C or below for this, so a B is... exceeding expectations. Needless to say, I'm very happy with this :D. So happy, in fact, that I didn't even check marks for this paper. At last my sciences (and I'm supposed to be a science student here) are pulling themselves back up! [Promo 64%, CT 55%, Overall B]

M is for Mathematics. Considering that I used to fail a good proportion of my Math TAs back in secondary school, and nearly failed the EoY at the end of Sec 4, I'm FREAKING HAPPY. The subject that I studied hardest for paid really, really well off. [Promo 83%, CT 80%, Overall A]

E is for Economics, literally. I dunno what went wrong, really. I came out of the examination hall feeling PLEASED with myself, and that perhaps for once I wouldn't fail every single essay, and that I would be able to get a D or a C for Econs which would, in turn, enable me to be able to take a H3... which obviously didn't happen. Case study was decent, but I failed both essays majestically. Every Econs test I walk out thinking I really can score, but in the end my hopes fall flat. At least this is an improvement, but do not ask me how they calculated my mark. [Promo 45%, CT 40%, Overall E]

G is for General Paper. I'm pleased that I maintained, and since this paper was supposedly harder than most, my mark is pretty good, I guess. Though I need to do better for the AQ, because consistently failing it (even though the majority of people do) is not ideal. Essay need to brush up on content, and that means improving my excruciatingly deficient general knowledge. [Promo 60.5%, CT 68%, Overall B]

C is also for Chinese. Don't know how I managed it, but anyway YAY! Now only to replicate this feat in the real thing... which is coming up in exactly a week. Hope its not just a case of 无心插柳柳成荫, because later when I 有心栽花 then 花不放 I'm a goner. [Promo 71%, CT 63.5%, Overall A]

All in all, that's:

And I'm content. I mean, AABBBE is nothing to be ashamed of, except for the E, perhaps. The big question now is if I can apply successfully...

... to take a H3?
