Okay things since the last book-in have been a major, high-key rush both in and out of camp. It's been a week of activity, and only tonight does it seem that things have really settled down.

Firstly, field camp. 5 days and 4 nights outfield, sleeping under the stars, enjoying the cool natural breeze, listening out for the calls of the - blearghh. I wish. But field camp wasn't as bad as I anticipated it to be. It was tough, but not as tough as it could have been. The rations weren't horrible, the training was bearable, and the sleep was little but sufficient. Highlights included the 8km march, the tekan and letter, the digging of the shellscrape.

Felt great to take a shower back at company line on Thursday though, after 4 nights of powder bathing. Powder does nothing for helmet hair.

Felt better to go home and bathe again, properly.

Anyway... booking out meant A-level results.

For myself, I'm content. I'll put it up here, the final tally.

So yeah, I'm satisfied. I wish the Econs had been A but then again, not like my Econs was ever that sort of standard. But what I have is enough to get me where I want to be, namely Imperial College with 3As conditional, and that's where I'll probably go.

After chilling out in the canteen for a long time, I had dinner with my army section and coffee (well no I just sat down) with batchmates. Dinner was a Jap buffet :O so I'm kinda stuffed now.

Whether congratulations or commiserations, I wish everyone the best with where their grades take them.
