Because no man is an island, and everyone needs each other.

Because when you show your best to people, you're more likely to see their best. Because no one is willing to go on a limb for a selfish person.

Because the environment doesn't matter; whether school, work or army, being a good person shines through to others. Because I believe that everyone notices you, and judges you based on what you do. Because I aspire to be someone that others can go "hey... that's a good guy. Perhaps I can trust him."

Because sucking thumb isn't an army concept. Because someone has to bite the bullet and set the example. Because having a positive attitude is the right thing to do, and I find it important to do the right things. Because I know that I am resilient and can do things well, and can handle my burden and others' too.

Because trust is underrated. Because taking the initiative is difficult, but necessary. Because building relationships isn't smooth sailing; as much as desired, effortless love and friendship is the stuff of fairy tales. Because I'd rather be trustful and bullied than savvy and distant, and would rather risk getting taken advantage of than to close myself off. Because I value friendship highly.

Because I am blessed with the knowledge that I can shape myself.

Because I have been empowered throughout my life.

Because of this, I do the things that I do.
